How many calories are in an Alaska roll?

Estimate277–485 kcal

per whole homemade roll

This salmon-avocado-cucumber model leaves out crab and mayonnaise. Alaska roll is a restaurant name with variable recipes; this estimate does not cover every restaurant version.

These are disclosed scenarios, not a confidence interval, measured limits or official brand nutrition.

What goes into this Alaska roll?

Delish supports the rice, salmon, seaweed, avocado and cucumber combination. Its recipe also includes crab and sauces, which our simplified model omits. We add assumed sugar and distilled vinegar for rice seasoning; these are model inputs, not copied recipe quantities.

Why does the salmon change the range?

The lower and upper calculations allow wild or farmed raw Atlantic salmon. Those USDA records differ in fat and calories. The endpoints for each nutrient use that nutrient’s lower or higher record value; they are nutrient envelopes, not a single tested recipe.

How do we count the nori?

FDC 168458 is raw laver with 85.03 g water per 100 g. Raw-equivalent grams = dry matter grams Γ· (1 βˆ’ 85.03 Γ· 100). Thus 0.5–1 g dry matter corresponds to 3.3–6.7 g raw laver after display rounding. We scale all nutrients using the unrounded conversion. Drying and roasting can change composition: this is a dry-matter proxy, not a measured dried-nori label.

Whole roll or individual pieces?

Cutting the same roll into 6–8 pieces changes calories per piece, not the whole-roll total. Divide the unrounded roll calculation by the actual number of equal pieces. Crab, mayonnaise, spicy sauce and other additions need separate entries.

USDA inputs and portion assumptions

Each row uses the stated edible ingredient grams. Rows below apply to the answer-box serving. Endpoints sum unrounded USDA amounts, then round once. A row with alternative records uses the minimum and maximum for each nutrient independently.

Common questions

How many calories are in an Alaska roll?

277–485 kcal per whole homemade roll. This salmon-avocado-cucumber model leaves out crab and mayonnaise. Alaska roll is a restaurant name with variable recipes; this estimate does not cover every restaurant version.

Is this official nutrition data for the finished food?

No. USDA supplies generic ingredient records. The finished-food range is our estimate under the stated portions and recipe assumptions, not a brand or restaurant label. Actual food can fall outside it.

How do I adjust the serving?

Use each matching USDA record’s per-100-g amount Γ— edible grams Γ· 100, then add the ingredients before rounding. Keep raw and cooked weights matched to their respective records; extra sauces and oils need separate entries.
