Costco hot dog calories: frank, bun and toppings
Use the one official-label frank row, choose one bun row if you eat a bun, then add your toppings. Both bun rows are alternatives. The frank’s calories and nutrients come only from the label, not a generic USDA sausage scaled to the package weight.

Calories for a Costco hot dog with a bun or without
Costco’s official US Business Center page describes Kirkland Signature Beef Dinner Franks, Quarter Pound Plus and states “As served in Costco food courts” (checked October 29, 2026). Its linked label gives 1 link (123 g), 370 kcal. We use those per-link label values for the frank. The complete food-court order still needs a separately estimated bun and any extras.
Without a bun
370 kcal = one label serving, without toppings or a drink. The label also lists 4 g carbohydrate, 16 g protein, 31 g fat, 12 g saturated fat and 1250 mg sodium.
With a bun
493–537 kcal = one label serving + one 44–60 g USDA bun scenario. Add toppings and any drink separately.
Lower scenario: 370 + (279 × 44 ÷ 100) = 493 kcal. Upper scenario: 370 + (279 × 60 ÷ 100) = 537 kcal. Here 279 is USDA bun kcal per 100 g; 44 g is its standard roll and 60 g is our larger-bun assumption.
Heating the frank alone does not add calories. Cooking can change its water content and weight; we do not multiply a heated frank’s calorie density by the packaged 123 g weight. Any added ingredients need to be counted separately.
The range reflects only the two bun sizes, not a change in the frank. It is a scenario range, not a confidence interval or a guarantee that the actual Costco meal falls within it. For every nutrient, we add the label value to the USDA bun value calculated as per-100-g amount × bun grams ÷ 100, then round the total. Calories use whole kcal; grams and milligrams use at most one decimal with trailing zeroes removed. All rounding is decimal half-up.
Costco hot dog bun nutrition info: our USDA estimate
We did not find an official US food-court bun nutrition label in the Costco pages reviewed. The bun is estimated from USDA “Rolls, hamburger or hotdog, plain,” FDC 172796. Its standard serving is 44 g; the actual Costco bun may have a different weight, recipe and nutrient density.
The standard 44 g roll calculates to 123 kcal and 22.1 g carbohydrate. A larger, assumed 60 g roll of the same recipe calculates to 167 kcal and 30.1 g carbohydrate. The 60 g figure is an assumption, not a Costco measurement or official serving. See the bun rows above for protein, fat, saturated fat and sodium.
Why isn’t there an official US food-court meal number here?
As of October 29, 2026, we did not find a publicly posted, complete US food-court hot dog nutrition table in the Costco official pages reviewed. Costco’s frank description and package label are available, but neither supplies the full order’s bun, toppings or drink.
For current nutrition information, check the menu or calorie display at your warehouse and ask food-court staff for written nutrition information and the exact portion. Nutrition from another country would need to be labeled separately because recipes and portions can differ; none is substituted for US data here.
Compare the same hot dog portion
Our generic hot dog calories, hot dog with a bun and hot dog bun pages use their own USDA records and serving sizes. Match the weight and check whether the bun is included before comparing totals.
For published restaurant portions, see Five Guys menu nutrition, including hot dogs or our fast food portion comparisons. Those pages use the chains’ published information; the whole-meal totals on this Costco page remain estimates.
Common questions about Costco hot dog nutrition
How many calories are in a hot dog from Costco?
Our working estimate is 493–537 kcal with a bun. The frank stays at the official package label’s 370 kcal per link; only the assumed bun size changes, from a USDA standard 44 g roll to a larger assumed 60 g bun. Toppings and drinks are excluded. This is an estimate, not Costco official US food-court nutrition data; the actual item can fall outside the range.
Hot dog at Costco: do the calories include the bun?
Yes. Our answer-box range includes a bun. Without a bun, the model uses the official package label’s 370 kcal for one 123 g link, before toppings or a drink. Do not add both bun rows together.
Costco hot dog calories: how much do toppings add?
Using USDA generic portions, yellow mustard adds 3 kcal per 5 g teaspoon or packet; ketchup adds 17 kcal per 17 g tablespoon; sweet relish adds 20 kcal per 15 g tablespoon; raw onion adds 4 kcal per 10 g chopped tablespoon. These are model servings, not measured Costco dispensers or a promise that each topping is available.
